Location-specific Services

Life Development is our unique way of helping you successfully transition from therapy to living, working and playing in the “real world”.

Life Development is not a system. It’s not a process. It’s not a program. We simply help you create new behaviors that eventually become habit. We provide advice, moral support and guidance. We live alongside you (outside of therapy) to help you develop routines and patterns that create a positive, fulfilling lifestyle.

Tuesday 9 am – 12 pm
Thursday 9 am – 12 pm

We provide outpatient services and have the ability to offer as little or as much support as the individual needs. We are continually assessing and making the appropriate clinical adjustments based on the individual’s needs and progress.

Our Mental Health and Chemical Dependency IOP applies principles of acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and cognitive behavior therapy. Limited to 12 people, our IOP includes individual therapy sessions and random drug testing.

Parent Support Group offers education, encouragement, and support. It’s a time when parents can hear others voice the same concerns about parenting teens or young adults who are struggling with chronic emotional struggles, substance abuse, and/or psychiatric illnesses.

Tuesdays 4:30 pm – 6 pm

Recovery Group is designed for those needing to explore their relationship with substances or compulsive behaviors. Through the use of psycho-educational processing and experiential exercises, group members will gain understanding into the role these behaviors play and their impact on different areas of life. Abstinence is not a requirement for group attendance.

While this recovery group is not 12-step based, it will support and supplement any 12-step recovery process.

Wednesdays 10 am – 11:30 am

Women’s Group provides an opportunity for women ages 25 and up who are in any stage of recovery or healing from substance use and mental health disorders. Together, we use holistic therapeutic techniques and creative activities to help group members gain insight. As we work together, we experience “aha” moments, suddenly recognizing a sense of community and connection. We learn to create a space for this new awareness finding hope for ourselves and our relationships.

Women’s Group – Wednesdays 8:30 am – 10:00 am
Men’s Group – Wednesdays 10:00 am – 11:30 am

Yoga Freedom is perfect for anyone wanting release and relief, especially those dealing with traumatic or emotionally overwhelming experiences. This yoga class uses advanced techniques including breathing, meditation, yoga postures, journaling, and art activities to engage and connect the mind and body, encouraging release and relief. Traumatic or emotionally overwhelming experiences can lead to a feeling of disconnection from our minds, bodies, and relationships. Yoga Freedom can help. Our gender-specific sessions are held in a confidential setting and are skillfully guided by trained therapists.

Wednesdays 3 pm – 4:30 pm
Fridays 10 am – 11:30 am

Dialectical Behavior Therapy is an evidence-based treatment approach which helps people to manage intense emotion and relationships. DBT includes four sets of behavioral skills including:

– The practice of being fully aware and present in this one moment.
– Learning how to tolerate pain in difficult situations and not change it.
– Learning to ask for what you want and say no while maintaining self-respect and relationships with others.
– Managing to change emotions that you want to change.

Play is more than just fun, it shapes the brain, opens the imagination, and invigorates the soul. Step into finding your play personality by developing your sense of curiosity and wonder. Through these experiential groups you can discover how to engage your unique play personality and recognize how play can lead to a more joyful and fulfilled life.

“ The opposite of play is not work, it is depression.” – Dr. Stuart Brown”
