DBT Comprehensive Group

At Innovation 360, offering DBT Comprehensive Groups is a core aspect of our therapy services. We believe in the power of Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) not only because it’s evidence based, but also because it teaches practical skills for managing emotions and relationships. DBT emphasizes mindfulness and acceptance, empowering individuals to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and self-awareness. By integrating the principles of DBT with group therapy dynamics, we offer a supportive space for individuals to embark on a journey towards emotional regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.

What is it?

DBT Comprehensive Groups are structured sessions where participants engage in learning and practicing essential skills for managing emotions and relationships. Led by our expert therapists, these groups provide a nurturing environment for cultivating mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation.

When is it?

Our DBT Comprehensive Groups meet weekly Tuesdays, 12:30 pm – 2:00 pm & Thursdays, 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm on a 12 month rolling curriculum.

What’s the cost?

The cost for each group session is $100. We accept insurance plans including United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, and Blue Cross Blue Shield.

How does it work?

Introductions: Each session begins with a warm welcome and an overview of the group’s purpose. Participants learn about the foundational principles of DBT and how they can apply these skills to their daily lives.

Worksheets and Personal Engagement: Thought-provoking exercises and questionnaires provide opportunities for deeper exploration of emotions and behaviors.

Group Dynamics and Support: Through group discussions and activities, participants build connections with others who share similar struggles. Supportive interactions foster a sense of community and understanding, empowering individuals to navigate challenges together.

Skill-Building Exercises: Guided by our therapists, participants engage in practical exercises aimed at developing DBT skills such as mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation. These exercises are designed to promote self-awareness and resilience in managing life’s ups and downs.

Continued Practice and Integration: Beyond the group sessions, participants are encouraged to apply the skills learned in their daily lives. Our therapists provide ongoing support and guidance, helping individuals integrate DBT principles into their relationships, work, and personal growth journey.
